This fruit is prepared in semi-tropical regions, including Fars and Central provinces, and is packed in bulk and in baskets or containers.
It is possible to store figs in a cold room at a temperature of -0.5 to 0 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of 90% for 2 weeks.
A major part of this product is distributed inside Iran and some of it is exported by refrigerated containers to neighboring countries, especially the Persian Gulf (by sea), Russia, European Union countries, etc.
The properties of figs include improving heart problems, treating anemia, and controlling blood pressure. Black figs can be consumed as raw fruit, smoothies and salads.
